MEDICARE REVALIDATIONS
Under the Affordable Care Act, providers and suppliers enrolled are required to revalidate their enrollment every five years through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Local MACs will send out notices on a regular basis throughout 2013 to begin the revalidation process for each provider and supplier.
- Impacted are those providers and suppliers enrolled prior to March 25, 2011.
- Not impacted are newly enrolled providers and suppliers that submitted their enrollment applications after March 25, 2011.
If you received a revalidation this year in March, June, or July of 2013 you can revalidate on Internet-based PECOS or submit an 855 paper application.
Mail paper application to:
Novitas Solutions
Provider Enrollment Services
P.O. Box 890095
Camp Hill, PA 1709-0095
If you received a deactivation letter from CMS, this means that your status with Medicare is no longer active and you will need to resubmit a new application on Internet-based PECOS or submit a paper application to obtain a new provider transaction number (PTAN).
